Overview

What is Zaiffer?

Public blockchains have unlocked unprecedented efficiency, but this efficiency comes at the cost of privacy. Every wallet balance, transaction amount, trade size, and financial interaction is immediately visible to anyone.

  • For individuals, this exposes personal financial data.

  • For companies and institutions, it reveals strategies, business relationships, treasury movements, and compensation structures.

  • For regulators, it creates an environment where confidentiality and auditability are difficult to reconcile.

Zaïffer solves this.

Zaïffer introduces a confidentiality layer for EVM token-based actions, powered by Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) developed by Zamaarrow-up-right. It allows users and protocols to transact, lend, borrow, and swap while keeping amounts fully encrypted on-chain, all without:

  • creating a new blockchain

  • using a custom wallet

  • requiring a bridge or L2

Zaïffer transforms any ERC-20 token into its synthetic confidential counterpart (cToken) through a process called shielding. Once shielded, users can perform transfers, exchanges, payroll, treasury operations, or DeFi interactions while keeping transaction amounts private.

When required, regulators, auditors, or authorised parties can access encrypted data through selective disclosure (The ability for a user to disclose the information needed for a service provider selectively, .ie, an Exchange to ‘off-Ramp’ asking to decrypt a subset of your history to perform AML), maintaining compliance without breaking privacy.

Zaïffer combines privacy, auditability, and interoperability to enable a new category of decentralised applications designed for institutional and individual confidential on-chain finance.

Benefits of Zaiffer

Once tokens are shielded within Zaïffer’s contracts, their amounts become encrypted while remaining fully functional and composable across the EVM ecosystem. Unlike mixers or custodial privacy solutions:

  • Zaïffer does not co-mingle user funds

  • Each user’s encrypted balances remain distinct and traceable

  • Batch operations improve execution efficiency without breaking isolation

  • Confidentiality applies only to amounts, not to actors

  • Selective disclosure ensures regulatory compatibility

Zaiffer enables:

  • Composability: Works seamlessly with existing EVM smart contracts and dApps.

  • Compliance-first privacy: Enables selective disclosure and sanctions screening (via Chainalysis KYT).

  • Permissionless operation: Any ERC-20 token can be given confidential properties without approval or whitelisting.

  • Auditability: Maintains a visible, verifiable transaction graph while keeping balances and amounts encrypted.

  • Enterprise readiness: Designed for B2B, institutional finance, tokenised asset management, and treasury operations.

This model empowers individuals, institutions, and protocols to access confidential, compliant DeFi for capital markets, payments, and digital asset operations.

Primary Use Cases

  • Alpha Protection for Traders, Market Makers & Funds: Confidential tokens prevent strategic leakage by hiding liquidity positions, order sizes, and strategy execution. This blocks on-chain analytics, sandwich attacks, and copy-trading.

  • Confidential Business Transactions: Companies can interact with customers, suppliers, and partners without exposing cash flows. Selective disclosure ensures compliance when required.

  • Confidential payroll and treasury management: Companies and DAOs can distribute salaries, bonuses, and internal transfers confidentially, maintaining workplace privacy while preserving auditability.

  • Personal financial privacy: Retail users can shield tokens to prevent tracking, balance scraping, or profiling by third parties or malicious actors.

  • Confidential asset management and tokenisation: Funds and RWA issuers can operate confidentially while providing provable investment data and disclosures to authorised participants.
